These Booking Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Website Terms of Use, form the basis of your contract with Adventures & Hikes Ltd, Business Registration Number 80020003172691, with registered offices at 1724 Bukoto–Ntinda Road, Kampala, Uganda.
By making a booking, you confirm that:
- You have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions
- You have authority to bind all persons named on the booking
- You will share all booking details with all members of the party
- You consent to our use of personal data per our Privacy Policy
- You are over 18 years of age
- You accept full financial responsibility for the booking
Reservations and Confirmation
- All bookings are subject to availability of accommodation, permits, transport and other services.
- A safari is confirmed in writing once the required deposit has been received and the relevant services have been secured.
- A detailed itinerary and quotation will be provided before confirmation.

Gorilla and chimpanzee permits may require earlier or separate payment to secure availability. Last minute booking for such activity will be subject to availability and no guarantees can be given.
Gorilla and Chimpanzee Permits
- Permits are subject to availability and should be booked well in advance, at least 90 days in advance.
- Permits are secured only after the required payment and confirmation by the relevant authority.
- Permit cancellation and refund conditions are subject to the applicable authority's rules.
- Permit payments may be non-refundable or non-transferable, depending on the applicable conditions.
Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges are calculated according to the notice received before the safari arrival date. All cancellations must be received by email.

Non-refundable gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits and committed supplier charges may remain payable where they cannot be recovered. Any refund will be subject to the applicable supplier terms and amounts recoverable.
Important Notes:
- Guests are responsible for valid passports, visas and required travel documentation
- Please arrange your international flight tickets well in time and share them with us upon confirmation
- Please disclose relevant medical conditions, mobility requirements and dietary needs before confirmation
- Minimum age for gorilla trekking: 15 years
Key Conditions
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel and medical insurance is strongly recommended, including cover for medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellation and interruption.
Health Requirements
Yellow Fever certificate required. Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking requires compliance with ranger instructions and applicable age and health requirements.
Amendments
Changes to confirmed bookings are subject to availability. Additional costs from changes to dates, accommodation, activities, permits or transport will be communicated before implementation. Permit changes are subject to the relevant authority's rules.
Safari Operations
Travel times and wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Activities may be adjusted because of weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, park regulations or other operational factors. Where a service becomes unavailable, suitable alternatives will be discussed with you.
Quotations and Inclusions
Quotations specify the included accommodation, meals, permits, transport, activities and other services. International flights, visas, insurance, gratuities and personal expenses are the guest's responsibility unless expressly included. Prices may be revised before confirmation if supplier rates, government fees, taxes or other applicable charges change.
Emergency Support
We provide on-the-ground assistance during your safari. Emergency medical expenses and evacuation costs remain subject to your insurance and the specific services purchased.
Force Majeure
Not liable for events beyond control: natural disasters, pandemics, political instability.
Governing Law
Contract governed by laws of Republic of Uganda. Jurisdiction: Kampala courts.
The final booking confirmation and itinerary will specify the applicable terms for each reservation. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.
